Fall Time,Farmers Market & Chicken Stock

So its that time of year when the weather starts to cool off and I just feel like cooking... I will be in this mode until after Christmas. Ben and I made a trip to the farmers market this weekend and I picked up some of my favorites.. Butternut squash, Spaghetti squash, sweet bell peppers, and zucchini... I am looking forward to experimenting this week. I have in mind to make some homemade soups, butternut fries, and zucchini bread... =)

The bell peppers smelled yummy!!

Making homemade chicken stock for soups this fall.. I finished up and had 10 quart bags full for the deep freeze.. My house smelled amazing this weekend... I love this weather!

Not to sure about his jacket??

Sunday we headed to Warsaw Mo, where Ben's aunt and uncle have a lake house on the Lake of the Ozarks. We had a great time! The girls went on the jet ski for the very first time! It wasn't that warm of a day but the sun did pop out and we managed to soak some up! We ate BBQ and took a boat ride and his aunt Denise flew a kite off the back of the boat! It took longer than expected to get there but it was worth the 4 hour drive... His cousin's dog Courtney even joined in on the water activities... Rosalyn cut her finger on the jet ski and didn't want to get back on, Audrey was all for speed of course! Logan slept most of the day since he didn't sleep on the way up. All in all it was a great day.

PEEK-A-BOO

This is where I found Logan this morning!!

Of course Audrey had to get in on the picture..
Logan is getting to mobile for his own good... As you know we are renting while we build and the house is not big at all, meaning there aren't too many places he can go without me knowing.. Well needless to say I couldn't find him until I heard his little piggy laugh and spotted him under the saucer! I love this stage the crawling, laughing and playing peek-a-boo =)

Little Girls Dreams

Last night Rosalyn and I were laying in my bed just talking and somehow we got on the subject of what I want to be when I grow up... Rosalyn said mom " I want to be a art teacher when I grow up" I encouraged her by saying Rosalyn I think that is a wonderful idea your a great artist.. She then says " will I have to build my own school??" ... I say no honey you will go work at a school that is already built, then told her maybe you could have your own art studio and teach kids and adults... Rosalyn says will I build that?? I say, I'm sure your dad could build it for you, she responds and my husband! I said yes if your married at that point I'm sure he could, and she says I bet Logan will help too! I just love that she has such big dreams and I can't wait to help her with them....
